Is there a set payment schedule for services?
Hosting services are billed once a year in January, but application and web
development projects are billed at the time of delivery. Generally a
deposit is required, but the actual amount and schedule of payment are flexible
and are based on the agreement reached by the client and NewlightSoftware.com.

Are maintenance contracts included in project estimates?
They can be included if the client wishes. Some clients prefer to do
in-house maintenance, but if not this can be negotiated as part of the price estimate.

Do you provide free estimates?
Definitely. We will work with clients to clarify the project concept
definition and system requirements at a high level to get an accurate
estimate. We will provide a written estimate that will be included
in the contract along with the description of all deliverables.

Is the charge per hour or by project?
We will charge by hour or per project depending upon the type of work
being done as well as client preferences. Some types of smaller projects
can be paid by the hour, whereas larger systems requiring the full systems software
development life cycle often are costed per project. Ultimately, this
is negotiable based upon client preferences.

Do you have references for past projects?

previous clients regarding the quality of the work we have done.

If we purchase web hosting, who maintains our web site?
That is up to the client. We can provide professional engineers to
do web design, development and maintenance, but if clients prefer
to create and manage their own sites, we can charge for
hosting services only.
